About the Company:
Dirtworks is a rapidly growing bulk earthworks and transportation company within the Auckland region. We operate a large clean and managed fill site in West Auckland, where we utilise a modern fleet of heavy earth moving machinery.
We require a Site Manager with leadership skills to supervise a small onsite team of operators of various skill levels. A positive multi-tasker with personal motivation, exceptional interpersonal skills, and the ability to turn plans into a reality.
About the role:
Reporting to the Operations Manager, your responsibilities involve on the ground daily management of the site, planning, evaluating, implementing and reporting on all tasks associated with the efficient and safe running of the tipsite. As an experienced machine operator, you will now be a leader in your field with the ability to coach and motivate staff and consistently improve our performance across all aspects of operations. To be successful in this role you will be a professional that thrives on the challenge of attaining operational excellence with a constant focus on exceptional levels of health & safety and pride in ensuring customer care is delivered to an exceptional standard.

Skills:
- Over two years of site, project or contract management experience
- Proven experience safely operating a variety of heavy machinery, including excavators, bulldozers and moxy / hydrema
- Proven leadership, people management and team working skills
- Can manage health & safety on site for all staff, customers and visitors
- Well organised, results driven and professional manner
- Can read and convert site plans into actions, and communicate it to staff of all levels
- Knowledge of environmental legislation including silt control and clean / managed fill levies
- Punctual, reliable, organised and a team player
