You will run a large clean and managed fill site in West Auckland, utilising a modern fleet of heavy earth moving machinery. Strong on planning and daily management, you will be evaluating and implementing tasks and reporting on the efficient and safe running of the site. You will be an experienced machine operator, to support sound decision making, coaching, advising and great at developing people and your team(s), while consistently improving performance across all aspects of operations.

  • Extensive bulk earthworks experience shifting large volumes of material with 20-40t diggers, dozers and Moxy’s.
  • Positive management capability, leading by example, especially for young people keen to grow and develop.
  • Project management skills with the ability to plan/create a schedule and deliver to plan. You are able to predict timeframes and understand when there is pressure and when there is not.
  • Proven experience safely operating a variety of heavy machinery, including excavators, bulldozers and moxy / hydrema.
  • Sound knowledge of environmental legislation including silt control and clean / managed fill levies.
  • Awareness and commitment to safe practices, working closely with senior management and our HS and HR team.

The right candidate has extensive experience shifting large volumes of material. You can quickly see the most efficient course of action and order to do it in. You have experience motivating and working alongside small crews of varying abilities leading by example, keeping staff on task and focused throughout the day.

We offer an attractive remuneration package including a vehicle, phone and laptop, and a supportive management and company culture.
