The City Rail Link (CRL) is New Zealand’s largest transport infrastructure project ever. It consists of a 3.5km long double-track rail tunnel underneath Auckland’s city centre, between Waitematā (Britomart) and Maungawhau (Mount Eden) railway stations.
Dirtworks assisted with bulk truck and trailer transport, as well as on-site 6-wheeler cartage between locations. Over 375,000 tonnes of spoil from this project was tipped at our clean and managed fill tipsite in Waimaukau.
State Highway 16 is an important link for the local community, as well as providing resilience within the wider Upper North Island state highway network. Over 36,000 vehicles a day use the route between Brigham Creek and Kumeū, and over 15,000 vehicles travel between Huapai and Waimauku each day. The focus of this project was to improve safety in the area.
Dirtworks worked with Fulton Hogan to provide a cost-effective local tipsite for managed fill spoil from stage 1 of this project.
Exaro was engaged by Brian Perry Civil to complete the earthworks for the Hardstand and Taxiway replacement at RNZAF Base Auckland, Whenuapai. The project involved extensive excavation, subsoil drainage installation, and pavement reconstruction, including the reuse of crushed concrete. Exaro in turn engaged with Dirtworks’ bulk transport and clean and managed fill tipping services.
We carted and tipped over 50,000 tonnes of material and successfully handled a significant quantity of wet black peat.
Watercare are building a 1.75 km wastewater pipeline from Windsor Park to Rosedale Wastewater Treatment Plant. This new pipeline, together with the Sidmouth Pump Station upgrade, will contribute to increasing the wastewater transmission capacity in the East Coast Bays catchment. It will also cater for growth and help eliminate overflows.
Dirtworks Auckland tipsite services were engaged by March Cato, and they tipped over 10,000 tonnes of clean fill and managed fill spoil generated from this project.
New Zealand’s first big Costco warehouse, located in Westgate Auckland, comprises almost 15,000sqm of retail.
McKenzie & Parma carried out the site clearance, bulk earthworks, foundation excavation, stormwater and wastewater drainage on what was a challenging constrained site.
McKenzie & Parma engaged with Dirtworks bulk transport and clean and managed fill tipping services and we carted and tipped over 60,000 tonnes of excess material from this project.
