About the Company:

Dirtworks is a rapidly growing bulk earthworks company within the Auckland region. We require an experienced heavy diesel mechanic to help supervise our small workshop team. We run a large fleet of modern well- kept vehicles, truck and trailers and earthmoving machinery serviced by our own fully equipped workshop.

About the role:

This position is on the tools. We seek a heavy diesel industry expert that is looking to expand their skills into a supervisory role. Must be able to work with minimal supervision and to a high standard. Must work as part of a team, be safety conscious, with good time management and have strong mechanical and diagnostic experience.

The role is a full-time permanent position with competitive weekly pay, working predominantly in North-West Auckland. Some early starts, after hours and rostered weekend work may be negotiated, due to operational seasonal work.

Skills:

  • Certified heavy diesel mechanic or comparative experience
  • Demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of all aspects of heavy commercial machinery and vehicle servicing, maintenance and repairs
  • Diagnostic, fault finding and problem solving skills
  • Experience with auto-electrical and transport Hydraulic systems would also be favorable
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Preferably class 5F license

We are seeking experienced class 5 drivers to drive our truck units. Some tipping and road ranger gear box experience preferred, but most importantly, a positive can-do attitude and safety focus are considered paramount.

Permanent roles are offered with great rates and consistent all-season work offered. Both local and city job locations, with a variety of work sites and projects.

Skills:

  • Skilled Class 5 license preferred.

Class 4 or 5 Tipper Driver

About the Company:

Dirtworks is a bulk earthworks company who operates a large managed fill site in west Auckland.  We operate a modern fleet of machinery, with a range of seven excavators 20, 30 and 35 tonne and Komatsu D61, D65 and D85 dozers.

We require a capable and experienced operator/foreman with leadership skills to supervise a small onsite team of operators of various skill levels. A positive, multi-tasker with a can do attitude is ideal.

About the role:

This role is primarily to support the Tipsite Manager to plan, evaluate, implement and report on all tasks associated with the efficient and safe running of the tipsite. You must be prepared to work both on the ground and on the machinery as required. Full time, long term role with weekly pay.

Remuneration package to match skills, experience and productivity. Company vehicle and phone included.

Skills:

  • Silt control and construction site experience preferred
  • Proven experience operating a variety of heavy machinery, including: moxy, bulldozer and excavators up to 35 tonne
  • Punctual and reliable with sound communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ideally has a ‘make it happen’ capability, reliable, hard working and will contribute to our positive safety culture. All PPE gear provided

Duties:

  • Direct and supervise on-site staff and contractors
  • Ensure team is adequately resourced and productive
  • Experienced and safe machine operating skills, and able to lead in this area
  • Read plans, manage varying material and soil types
  • Back up on other machines such as dozers and moxy as and when required
  • Oversee and manage health and safety on site
  • A team player that takes pride in their work
